Paul Walker décède dans un accident de voiture / Paul Walker has died in a car crash accident

I could not believe my eyes when I heard the news! Paul Walker is no longer with us at only 40 years old :-( And ironically he was killed in a car crash accident when he was not the driver. It was his friend who was driving and they died in the Los Angeles county. It's a really sad news. I like the franchise "Fast and Furious" ("Rapide et Dangereux" for my friends in Quebec and French-Canadian). I saw the latest "Fast and Furious 6" last June and I honestly enjoyed it. It will be very hard without him now. RIP Paul Walker, a great actor leaves us. Big thoughts to his family, friends, the whole team of "Fast and Furious". We will not forget him that's for sure and now we must move forward.

Social Media Election
Anyone with a Facebook or Twitter account has probably noticed an increase in the number of political postings over the past few years. This is due, in part, to the explosive rise in social media outlets and users. But voters are not the only people who use social media; among politicians, 9 out of 10 Senators and Representatives have Twitter accounts. However, many are starting to wonder if social media is becoming less a reporter of political races and more of a predictor of the results. In Senate races, the candidate with more Facebook friends than his or her opponent has won 81% of the time. And one email sent to 60 million Facebook users prompted an additional 340,000 people to vote in the 2010 election. This infographic illustrates just how politics and social media are affecting each other.

La Ryder Cup, traditionnelle rencontre entre les Etats-Unis et l'Europe, qui a lieu du vendredi au dimanche sur le parcours de Medinah Country Club de Chicago, se déroule selon une formule différente des tournois du circuit, le "match play". Les deux équipes s'affrontent en 28 parties. Le vainqueur de chaque match est déterminé en fonction du nombre de trous gagnés et non de coups joués comme dans les épreuves classiques. Il y a trois types de matches, le fourball (vendredi et samedi matin, 8 au total), le foursome (vendredi et samedi après-midi, 8 au total) et le simple (dimanche, 12 au total):
. LE FOURBALL: deux équipes de deux joueurs. Chacun joue sa balle (quatre en tout). Le joueur qui termine un trou dans le plus petit nombre de coups fait gagner le point à son équipe. Pas de point marqué en cas d'égalité.
. LE FOURSOME: deux équipes de deux joueurs, deux balles seulement en jeu. Les joueurs jouent alternativement la balle de leur équipe. L'équipe qui finit le trou dans le plus petit nombre de coups gagne le point. Pas de point marqué en cas d'égalité.
. LE SIMPLE oppose deux joueurs selon le même principe. Les capitaines des deux équipes classent leurs joueurs de 1 à 12. Cet ordre détermine les oppositions.
En fourball et en foursome comme en simple, lorsqu'une paire ou un joueur acquiert une avance en points supérieure au nombre de trous restants, il gagne le match et marque un point pour son équipe. En cas d'égalité au bout du parcours de 18 trous, les deux équipes marquent un demi-point chacune.

The Ryder Cup, traditional meeting between the United States and Europe, which takes place from Friday to Sunday on the golf Medinah Country Club in Chicago Illinois, takes place according to a different formula in tournaments on the circuit, the "match play". The two teams compete in 28 games. The winner of each match is determined by the number of holes won and not of strokes as in conventional tests. In fourball and foursome as simple, when a pair or a player gains a lead in points than the number of holes remaining, he wins the match and scores a point for his team. In case of a tie at the end of 18 holes, both teams score half a point each.
